Spinning supplies

I got my supplies today! I'm excited to start spinning again, as this is something I've wanted to do for awhile. Here are some pics.

The spindle and the roving are from Spunky Electic. The roving is Mallard Green and the spindle is a Louet. The Spin Off Magazine, I got yesterday at Borders. As I said yesterday, a review will be upcoming for the magazine. I will also do a review of the roving, once I've made the yarn. I'm excited!!

Here is more pictures, but just of the roving.

I hope that you enjoy these pictures, and I promise to have photos of the final product. :)

Spin Off review upcoming

I just bought the latest edition of Spin Off today. I will have a full review in a few days as I patently wait for my spinning supplies to come, which I hope is in a few days. *Crosses fingers*

Also my mom said today that I should work in Best Buy, why the guy who was trying to help us couldn't find what we where looking for, but I did. In the guys defence, he had to ask a co-worker where to find them in the future, which told us that he was new to the store.

Mi and I got Nintendo DSi's! If you don't know what they are they are basically the newest verison of Game Boy (Oh my I'm dating myself, since I've been a huge Nintendo fan since I was old enough to hold a Game Boy), yes even though I'm 21 I love video games and I'm spoiled.

But seriously, my mom had promised me this for the past year, and unfortanlly we didn't have the money at the time. There is one more late birthday present she has to get me, but that's not a rush, as the only way to get it is online, or I can get a simlar less expensive one (which is what I'm thinking anyway).

Spinning!

Okay I did it Friday (which I forgot to mention in my last post). I ordered my spinning supplies, and hopefully it will arrive this week! I ordered from Spunky Eclectic. I ordered BFL Superwash in Mallad Green (sorry I picked up the last one that was listed, so I don't have a picture of it), I also ordered a Louet spindle. It's a bit heaver then I'm used to, however I can't find my orginal one and well that was the cheapest.

I'll probley be ordering from other places as well in the future. What to I plan to make with it? Well it's most likely going to be a bag (shocker!), but before you get too excited, it's going to take me several months to finish after spinning, plus I will need to order more yarn. Yep it's going to be a multi colored bag, and it may become a pattern. However this means swatching, which by far is my least favorite thing to do. However this would be to get the measurements correct. So we'll see what happens.

Home Run Derby tonight go Ryan Howard!

Disapointment and big news

I had planned to come on here yesterday with the big news, however I was too upset. Unfortally Ruben Amaro Jr. decided that Paul Bako was more important then Chris Coste and decided to cut him.

WTF! Okay so what if Bako is the better defender. He has zero homeruns and only 4 RBI (he had the game winning hit tonight which I'll give him credit for, but he wouldn't have gotten it if two players Matt Stairs and Ryan Howard hadn't had such big hits, and it's just one feaking game.). Compared to Chris' 2 home runs and 8 RBI. Sigh, at least if the Phils win the World Series again, Bako will have only 1 ring compared to Chris' 2. I just hope Lou Marson is ready soon to replace this donkey (sorry for the language).

But have no fear, Chris got claimed off wavers by Astros, so I will root for them even when they are playing the Phillies, as Amaro is about to make another stupid move by signing an over the hill guy in Pedro Martiez.

Now the big news is: I got an iPod Touch! It's a 16 gig one and I love it. It's mainley going to be used as an on the go digital device. What this means is, whenever I can't use my laptop, just pull out the IPT and I'll be good to go. My only complaint is that while it's charging, it has to be on, but I'm not too upset by that.

Photos coming soon!

Yahoo!

Shane won the final vote! I'm super excited for him and hope he has a great All Star game! I watched some of the game tonight, really just to see how the crowd at Citizen's responded, and they gave him a standing O. Well deserved! Congrats Flyin Hawaiian!

Went to the mall today and picked up a huge stuffed animal! I'll have a picture of my Pooh bear tomarrow. Also crochet updates!

Crocheting a we go

So even though I've been in a crocheting funk lately, I have a gut feeling it will be ending soon. I found one of my hooks today, and finally plan to start a new project tomarrow. Now the question will be how long will it take me to complete. That will be the big question of things that I need to get done.

Might make a trip to the mall tomarrow, just deciding which one to go to. More then likely, it will be the smaller of the two malls in the county, as it's easier to get to. Although it's also farther away (the other one off an highway and well there is a long and complicated story why my mom doesn't go on highways).

More updates coming soon!
